Creating a Digital Portfolio

In this project, students will learn how to create a digital portfolio to showcase their work throughout the school year. This project will cover the following learning outcomes:

  • Students will understand the importance of organization and presentation in their work
  • Students will know how to use technology to create a digital portfolio
  • Students will be able to present their work in a clear and concise manner

Methodology

Students will be introduced to the concept of a digital portfolio and shown examples of portfolios created by other students. They will then be given time to brainstorm and plan out what they want to include in their own portfolio. Next, students will be taught how to use a digital platform such as Google Sites or Weebly to create their portfolio. They will be given time to work on their portfolio and receive feedback from their peers and the teacher. Finally, students will present their portfolios to the class.

  • Computers or tablets with internet access
  • Access to a digital platform such as Google Sites or Weebly
  • Examples of digital portfolios
  • Peer feedback forms

Instructions
