Creating a Digital Portfolio
In this project, students will learn how to create a digital portfolio to showcase their work and progress throughout the school year. The project will cover the following learning outcomes:
- Know how to use digital tools to create a portfolio
- Understand the importance of organization and presentation in a portfolio
- Can create a digital portfolio that showcases their work and progress
Methodology
The project will be divided into three parts:
- Research: Students will research different digital tools that can be used to create a portfolio. They will also learn about the importance of organization and presentation in a portfolio.
- Creation: Students will create their own digital portfolio using the tool of their choice. They will include samples of their work from different subjects and reflect on their progress throughout the school year.
- Presentation: Students will present their digital portfolio to the class and receive feedback from their peers.
Resources/Materials Required
- Access to computers or tablets
- Internet access
- Various digital tools for creating a portfolio (e.g. Google Sites, Wix, Weebly, etc.)
Instructions
1. Introduce the project to the class and explain the learning outcomes.
2. Provide students with time to research different digital tools for creating a portfolio.
3. Instruct students to create their own digital portfolio using the tool of their choice. They should include samples of their work from different subjects and reflect on their progress throughout the school year.
4. Provide students with time to present their digital portfolio to the class and receive feedback from their peers.
Assessment
Students will be assessed on the following:
- Their ability to use digital tools to create a portfolio
- The organization and presentation of their portfolio
- Their ability to reflect on their progress throughout the school year
- Their ability to present their portfolio to the class and receive feedback from their peers
