Methodology:

Instructions:

Preparation:

1. Provide students with a spelling word list relevant to their grade level.
2. Encourage students to practice the words at home and in class.
3. Review spelling rules and patterns with the students.

Competition:

1. Divide the class into teams or individuals, depending on the number of students.
2. Explain the rules of the spelling bee competition:
• Each participant will take turns spelling a word.
• If a participant misspells a word, they are eliminated from the competition.
• The last participant standing will be declared the winner.
3. Start the competition by randomly selecting a participant to spell the first word.
4. Continue until there is only one participant left.
5. Record the scores of each participant on the Spelling Bee Bonanza Scorecards.

Reflection:

1. After the competition, gather the students for a reflection session.
2. Discuss the strategies used by the participants to improve their spelling accuracy.
3. Encourage students to share their experiences and challenges during the competition.
4. Highlight the importance of spelling in everyday life and the benefits of expanding vocabulary.
