Instructions:
1. Begin the lesson by introducing the topic of visual arts and its importance in expressing ideas and emotions.
2. Present the seven elements of visual arts: line, shape, form, color, value, texture, and space. Explain each element using visual examples and encourage students to take notes.
3. Engage the students in a class discussion about how the elements of visual arts are used in different artworks. Encourage them to analyze and interpret the elements in famous paintings or sculptures.
4. Divide the students into small groups and provide each group with art supplies.
5. Assign each group an element of visual arts and instruct them to create an artwork that prominently features that element. For example, one group may focus on line, while another group may focus on color.
