Instructions:
Step 1: Introduction (Know)
Begin the activity by discussing the concept of foreign languages with your students. Show them a world map or globe and point out different countries. Ask students if they know any foreign languages or have heard people speaking languages other than English.
Step 2: Virtual Language Tour (Understand)
Take your students on a virtual language tour using online resources. Visit websites or use language learning apps that introduce basic greetings and phrases in different languages. Encourage students to listen to the pronunciation and try repeating the phrases.
Step 3: Language Brochure (Can Do)
Divide students into small groups and assign each group a different country. Provide them with art supplies and ask them to create a travel brochure showcasing the country and its language.
